Have I mentioned enough how much I love in-home lifestyle shoots? Especially this time of year when the weather can be iffy (at best). Evan and Lauren invited me to their home in Cooperville to document some photos of their family in celebration of their one year anniversary. It was so fun to be able to document photos in their very first home together with their dogs Daisy and Dakota. The two have a sweet lighthearted playful energy that made it feel like I have known them for years. On this particular day, it was extremely cold outside so we only spent a few minutes outside. I was so glad we did because we got to witness a very rare, but very beautiful winter golden hour. It’s not very often we get to see the sun during a Michigan winter. These type of photos can’t be planned but when they happen they are such a sweet surprise.
